The Art of Healing

One would think that healing happens on its own accord, as they say time heals all wounds. I have come to learn that with support, kindness and love the healing process not only can be bearable but accelerated. When you reach out and help someone even in the littlest of ways that positive interaction feeds the  process. In my situation it has made a huge difference in my path to wellness, having a positive attitude is hard to do when you are not feeling well. You become discouraged and have less enthusiasm to continue on. Thanks to all the little and big things that people have done for me over the past few days I have well exceeded my rehabilitation expectations. Be positive, reach out, it really does make a difference.

Don’t Be Difficult

Do you know someone who you would describe as difficult?  Recently while eating out my friend described our waitress as difficult.  I sat and thought about it and came to the decision that on most days I do not believe anyone would describe me as difficult.  Can you say the same?

Stay Positive Stop Complaining

If you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude. Don't complain.

Encourage Acceptance of Others

We are all different not one the same. This is a fact!  If you find someone being left out stop and take minute to bring them in.   Your time and thoughts only take up a minute of your life but can affect someone else's forever!
It could simple only be a smile sent in the right direction!

Celebrate Children’s Accomplishments

Concert Night—Basketball Game

Parent Conference—Spelling Bee Etc.

Parent— It is very cold outside and you do not feel very well and would love to just stay home.

Teacher—I have been with kids all day, I have tons of papers to correct.  Wish I didn't have to go out tonight would rather stay home.

Child— Very excited, have been practicing for months, I don't think I am  a very good but the my  teacher/coach says we are all amazing.  I get to wear my best clothes. The coach says I have a great lay-up!

Parent—Take a Tylenol, wear a scarf, call Gramma and Grampa so they can come along, put a smile on your face and enjoy the moment. Children really do grow up fast!

Teacher—Drink a cup of coffee, put on a smile.  Outside of their  family you are one of the most important people in a child's life.  You  really can make a difference.  The more adults involved in the growth of a child the more positive influences they will be exposed to.

Results—Child feels appreciated, and encouraged and will be apt to participate in more positive school related activates.  Parents get to meet school faculty and see what there kids do everyday. Parents you cant judge a school if you don’t spend any time there. Just like voting you cant complain if you don't vote. Teachers you get to meet parents and learn more about your students.  Remember every job has a costumer and your costumers are children and parents.
